Banksia glaucifolia : ウィキペディア英語版 | Banksia glaucifolia
''Banksia glaucifolia'' is a shrub endemic to Western Australia. It was known as ''Dryandra glauca'' until 2007, when all ''Dryandra'' species were transferred to ''Banksia'' by Austin Mast and Kevin Thiele. The name "''Banksia glauca''" had already been published in reference to ''Banksia integrifolia'' subsp. ''integrifolia'' so Mast and Thiele were forced to choose a new specific epithet; their choice, "glaucifolia", retains the original use of "glauca", from the Latin ''glaucus'' ("blue-grey"), combining it with the Latin ''folium'' ("leaf"). Thus the name refers to the blue-grey leaves of the species. ==References==
